Glorious Excellent ³ÉÈ˸£Àû¾«Æ·av Awards for FY24
On August 29th, the Glorious Excellent ³ÉÈ˸£Àû¾«Æ·av Award ceremony for Sumitomo Electric Group affiliates was held in Osaka. This award recognizes group companies that have achieved outstanding results during the previous fiscal year, as evaluated in a number of categories including their contribution to financial performance and their efforts in SEQCDD (safety, environment, quality, cost, delivery, and development). Of the more than 400 companies in our organization, 11 companies in Japan and 17 overseas companies were recognized this year. Around 70 presidents and other representatives from these companies attended the event, which was a great success.
At the ceremony I commended each company for their achievements and expressed my utmost gratitude for their daily efforts. Each honoree received a certificate and trophy, and there was also a special plaque presented to companies which had been recognized for three or more consecutive years.
As this year marks the final year of our Mid-term Management Plan 2025, we have asked each and every employee at our group companies to demonstrate their strengths in their respective positions and work with a spirit of dedication in all that they do. This is line with the Sumitomo Electric Group’s commitment to the concept of Five-Way Win (multistakeholder capitalism), whereby we steadily return the benefits of our growth to five major kinds of stakeholders (employees, customers, suppliers, regional communities, and shareholders & investors).
